The Fachhochschule Potsdam is a university of applied sciences with a great scientific background. Its students are prepared, among other possibilities, to work as restorers. Professors Christine Fuchs and Steffen Laue work in areas of restoration and heritage with equipments similar to the CCiTUB ones. The IRUG congress offers an opportunity to share scientific results and new developments in the application of IR and Raman spectroscopy to the study and conservation of the world’s cultural heritage. It will take place from 28 to 31 March in Barcelona. Dr. Nuria Ferrer from the Molecular Spectroscopy Unit of the CCiTUB had the opportunity to work with professors Fuchs and Laue in Berlin and will also participate in the congress. The CCiTUB have a section on its website specially dedicated to the restoration and heritage sector. | |
