El Dr. Rafel Prohens, responsable de la Tecnologia de Polimorfisme i Calorimetria dels CCiTUB, així com el Sr. Rafa Barba, de la mateixa Unitat, han publicat l’article "Hydrogen Bond Polarization Overcomes Unfavorable Packing in the Most Stable High Z′ Polymorph of Pterostilbene” a la revista Crystal Growth & Design. Remarcar que aquests articles son fruit del conveni entre CCiTUB i l'empresa CIRCE
El resum de l'article és el següent:
"The polymorphic landscape of the nutraceutical pterostilbene has been analyzed by solving the crystal structure of forms II and III from PXRD data. Polarization effects in the previously know form I crystal structure have been observed and the structural features of the most stable high Z′ polymorph have been discussed in relation to the relative stability between the polymorphs of this important natural product"
