08.04.2019Publicación del artículo "Hydrogen Bond Polarization Overcomes Unfavorable Packing in the Most Stable High Z′ Polymorph of Pterostilbene"
El Dr. Rafel Prohens, responsable de la Tecnología de Polimorfismo y Calorimetría de los CCiTUB, y el Sr. Rafa Barba, de la misma Unidad, han publicado el artículo "Hydrogen Bond Polarization Overcomes Unfavorable Packing in the Most Stable High Z′ Polymorph of Pterostilbene” en la revista Crystal Growth & Design. Remarcar que estos artículos son fruto del convenio entre CCiTUB y la empresa CIRCE.
El resumen del artículo es el siguiente:
"The polymorphic landscape of the nutraceutical pterostilbene has been analyzed by solving the crystal structure of forms II and III from PXRD data. Polarization effects in the previously know form I crystal structure have been observed and the structural features of the most stable high Z′ polymorph have been discussed in relation to the relative stability between the polymorphs of this important natural product"
