Dr. Xavier Llovet, from the Electron Microprobe Technology of the CCiTUB, has been selected to receive the "Cosslett Award" this year by the Microbeam Analysis Society of America (http://www.microanalysissociety.org). This award corresponds to the best invited talk given at the Microscopy and Microanalysis 2014 conference, which was held last year in Hartford (USA). The title of Dr. Llovet's talk was: "Application of Monte Carlo calculations to improve quantitative electron probe microanalysis", in which he described the latest developments in Monte Carlo simulation methods for application to quantitative electron probe microanalysis. |
