The CCiTUB proposed as one of the nodes that will form the Euro-Bioimaging Project

The General Secretary for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness has proposed the CCiTUB, along with other institutions, to join the project Euro-Bioimaging.

Euro-BioImaging is a large-scale pan-European research infrastructure project on the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) aimed at providing access to latest imaging technologies to European researchers. Euro-BioImaging is now in the interim phase, with representatives of 14 countries and EMBL as international organisation working together towards the implementation of the infrastructure.

The Euro-BioImaging infrastructure will consist of a set of complementary, strongly interlinked and geographically distributed Nodes with specialized and knowledgeable imaging facilities. The CCiTUB conform with the IRB and CRG the intravital and in vivo node of microscopy, one of the three located in the province of Barcelona. The other nodes would be formed by institutions of Bilbao and Valencia.

The CCiTUB project has been led by Dr. Maria Calvo, from the advanced optical microscopy technology of the CCiTUB. The final results of these nominations will be announced shortly.
