On Next Friday, May 22nd, "La Festa de la Ciència UB" will take place at the Historic Building of the Universitat de Barcelona (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585, Barcelona). Attendees will find educational activities like workshops, lectures and games , aimed to make the research of the different faculties of the UB accessible for all publics. The Scientific and Technological Centers of the UB will participate from 10:00 to 14:00h with an activity entitled: 'Viatge al nanomón: taller i exposició amb nanoproductes'. Dr. Jordi Diaz and Mr. Gerard Saborit of the SPM nanobioscience techniques (AFM, STM) Technology of the CCiTUB will be the responsibles of this workshop. They will explain to all attendees the implications of working at the nano scale, how to make a responsible use of nano products and how nano components generate new properties on objects. Attendees will also have the possibility of observing some 'nano products' like purification canteens, creams, shirts and lunchboxes. |
