From 14th to 30th of April, the Institute of Culture of Barcelona organizes 'NOVUM', a Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation where different activities related to scientific, technological, cultural and business issues will be made. On 25th and 26th April, the Glories square will become a laboratory in 'La Festa', an initiative for all audiences to live science, technology and innovation. University of Barcelona with Nanodivulga, and the Scientific and Technological Centers of the UB (CCiTUB) will make a workshop on Saturday 25th from 13:30 to 14:30h. It will be held at the ‘Carpa Snell’ and PhD Jordi Díaz Marcos, responsible of Technology of SPM nanobioscience techniques (AFM, STM) of CCiTUB and coordinator of Nanodivulga, will show Nanotechnology possibilities: applications such as superhydrophobicity, ferrofluids, fog materials, and products available on the market that use nanotechnology such as sunscreens, flasks with nanofilters, or even shirts that don’t get wet.
