A DXR™xi Raman imaging microscope from Thermo Scientific™ is going to be available at Raman spectroscopy Technology of CCiTUB during the month of April. This instrument can quickly reveal the molecular structure, chemical composition and morphology of the samples. It was already available to users last September 2014 and the CCiTUB organized a workshop [+] to show the possibilities that offers in the field of materials characterization. Now, it returns to the CCiTUB because of the great interest aroused. Exploiting the image-centric software interface, users can easily profile materials through information-rich chemical images. The DXRxi microscope can analyze large areas, providing microscopic detail in just seconds.
