Technical nanometer coordinates Nanodivulga UB

On February 27th the UB launched the NanoDivulga project, a set of activities to bring nanotechnology to the public. This initiative, as a result of the collaboration between scientific and technological centers (CCiTUB), the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE) and the Unit of scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+i), has begun its work with activities like the mentioned below:

-Practical presentation in 'Fundacion Rafael del Pino':

Dr. Jordi Díaz, responsible of technology SPM nanobioscience techniques (AFM, STM) and NanoDivulga coordinator, performed a practical presentation of nanotechnology in 'Fundacion Rafael del Pino' in Madrid. This presentation preceded the awards ceremony where Javier García was granted with 'Liderazgo Joven Rafael del Pino 2014' award. Javier García is teacher and director of the Laboratory of Molecular Nanotechnology at the University of Alicante.

-Interview on 'El Punt Avui TV':

Dr. Jordi Díaz was interviewed on the program l'illa de Robinson in 'El Punt Avui TV'. At the interview he talked about the project NanoDivulga, explained how to bring the nanotechnology to teachers and students, and highlighted how nanotechnology and nanoscience are present in daily life and can be found in many products of the market.

-Stand in 'Saló de l’Ensenyament 2015':

NanoDivulga had a space in 'Saló de l’Ensenyament' to publicize the project and made several practical activities to promote the young people’s interest for nanotechnology and nanoscience. This space was visited by personalities like Minister Mas-Colell, and there they could talk about nanotechnology and watch closely the practical experiments that were available to the public.
