Past October 9th a new about the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2014 was published in El Periódico de Cataluña. This year, it was given to three physicists who worked in making it possible which nowadays is known as Super-resolution Fluorescence Microscopy. This kind of microscopy has made it possible to improve the observations below 0,2 micrometres, which until recently was an insuperable frontier. Dr. Maria Calvo, responsible of the Advance Optical Microscopy Technology of the CCiTUB, talks about the achieved advances in microscopy thanks to the contribution of the three Nobel prize in Chemistry winners of this year in the article in El Periódico de Cataluña.
