Raman Tecnhology of the CCiTUB has received for a month a DXR™xi Raman imaging microscope from Thermo Scientific™. This system, which was commercialized in february 2014, allows to quickly reveal molecular structure, chemical composition and sample morphology. Exploiting the image-centric software interface, users can easily profile materials through information-rich chemical images. The DXRxi microscope can analyze large areas, providing microscopic detail in just seconds. Furthermore, the CCiTUB and Thermo Scientific have organized a theoretical-practical workshop for next September 23th to show the posibilities of this equipment in the field of materials characterization.
