The CDTI has published the call for the Programa Estratégico CIEN, whose objective is to fund big projects of industrial research and experimental development. These projects have to be done by business groups in effective collaboration and must be focused in making a scheduled research in strategic areas with international potential projection. The characteristics of the CCiTUB offer a good opportunity to collaborate with organizations interested in participating in the program. The deadline for sending applications is 15th july, 2014 at 12:00h. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Beneficiaries - Will be consortiums constituted by business groups, regularized by a private agreement of collaboration. - All companies of the consortium will be considered as beneficiaries. - Each consortium must be constituted by a minimum of three companies and a maximum of eight companies; at least two of them have to be autonomous, and at least one of them has to be a SITE. Participation of research organizations - Projects should have a relevant participation of research organizations from a qualitative and quantitative point of view. - In this sense, it is required that at least 15% of the total project budget has to be subcontracted with research organizations; one of which, at least, has to be publicly owned, as is the case of the CCiTUB. Duration of projects: The projects have to last between 36 to 48 months. Budget of the project - The minimum budget is 7.000.000 Euros and the maximum is 20.000.000 Euros. - The minimum budget for a single organization is 350.000 Euros.
