Molecular spectroscopy Technology of the CCiTUB has a new equipment of circular dichroism given on loan by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG). The equipment (Jasco J-815 spectropolarimeter) , operational from 15th January 2014, comes to replace the previous one (Jasco J-810 spectropolarimeter), functioning since 2004, and gives continuity to a technological offer existing since 1990. Circular dichroism tecnique is principally used in the analysis of biological molecules and one of his more important applications has been the determination of secondary structures.
