CCiTUB have participated in the international workshop ‘2012 PHI European User meeting’ done in Eibelstadt (Germany) on April 18th and 19th. Dr. Lorenzo Calvo Barrio, responsible of the Technology of the Surface Analysis of CCiTUB, was invited to participate in this workshop organized by the company of scientific equipment Physical Electronics. This biannual event has as a goal to present the last scientific-technological advances in spectroscopy of photoelectrons (XPS) and Auger microscopy.
Moreover, Dr. Calvo has visited the Technical University of Darmstadt, one of the biggest technical universities of Germany and of great scientific recognition. This university has new generation technological instrumental of characterization, excelling in the field of the surface analysis with a PHI VersaProbe II equipment (2010), which is used to characterize inorganic materials and polymers surfaces by XPS.
