The Animal Experimentation Unit of the CCiTUB is part of the Animal Models Hub of the ISCIII Biobanks and Biomodels Platform (PISCIIIBB) from which it offers, together with 18 attached units, quality services in the realization of experimental models and/or experimental techniques in a wide variety of animal species.

Thanks to the adhesion to PISCIIIBB, the CCITUB developed the MAXCARA project, Alternative Models based on Xenopus and Advanced Characterization services.

The PISCIIIBB platform is also part of the European Biobank Infrastructure (BBMRI-ERIC) as an observer member, acting as a national node at BBMRI-ERIC, one of the most relevant research platforms in the European Union.

Access to the ISCIII Biobanks and Biomodels Platform is open all year round.

To consult the catalogue of available services, it is necessary to register through the access form.
