NanoEduca 2023-2024: Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Training

 Objectives

The NanoEduca course is a training course on nanoscience and nanotechnology aimed at secondary school teachers, mainly in the STEM areas: science, technology and mathematics. The course is complemented by a Science Competition in which the students involved can present the work developed in the classroom.

Once the training has been completed, the teachers and their students will have the opportunity to participate in the NanoEduca Science Competition.


 Dates

The course will have 4 sessions in face-to-face or online format with a total of 20 hours to be certified (13h of non-face-to-face work).
  • Session 1: Introduction to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (24 October 2023, from 17:30 to 19:30 online).

  • Session 2: Review of session 1 material (asynchronous session).

  • Session 3: Didactic and communicative tools: NanoEduca teaching guide; how to use the nanokit; NANOEDUCA resources and virtual NANOEDUCA (7 November 2023, from 16:30 to 20:00).

  • Session 4: Resolution of doubts. Presentation of the collaborative work developed. Presentation of the final exercise (23 November 2023, from 18:30 to 19:30 online).

 Place

The course will be held in a hybrid format: part of the sessions will be online and part at the Institut Català de Nanotecnologia.
