The CCiTUB promote the green and sustainable analytical chemistry

The CCiTUB are committed to the transition towards a lower human impact on the environment as one of its strategic lines that are also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) highlighted by the United Nations. In this line, the objective of the CCiTUB is to work on the progressive adaptation of the analysis methods already existing in the laboratory and the incorporation of the criteria of sustainable analytical chemistry to the development of new methodologies.

Following these principles, the applied gas chromatography-mass spectrometry laboratory of the CCiTUB will take part from 14 to 16 March in the first e-conference on Green and Sustainable Analytical Chemistry (GSAC2022) and the second European e-conference on sample preparation (EuSP2022), which is organized by the European Chemical Society (Sample Preparation Group and Network).

This conference has also led to the creation of a network of scientists and technicians from around the world, which already has more than 400 registered members, and which It aims to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experiences in order to help the scientific community to continue to make progress in reducing the ecological footprint in its activities.
