Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Unit of CCiTUB has incorporated a new NMR equipment as a result of the agreement signed with the company “Bioiberica, S.A.U.”, the world's leading manufacturer of heparin. The new high-end equipment, a
500 MHz Bruker Avance Neo III, with 850: 1 sensitivity, has an automatic 24-sample changer, has been installed in the NMR laboratory of the Faculty of Chemistry and allows the development of the most advanced experiments in the field of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.
Likewise, the NMR Unit has developed software that automates the analysis of heparins (according to FDA-USP and European Pharmacopoeia regulations).
This tool, already available for use and called SoftHpNa, saves time, optimizes the obtaining of results and eliminates the intervention of the technician in the processing and preparation of the final report.
