23.06.202010alamenos9 online festival. Nanoscience vermouth
The last five years, the Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona coordinates the 10alamenos9 festival to bring nanotechnologies to the citizens. In the festival, almost 50 entities participate in more than 20 cities of 6 countries (Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador).
The edition of this year was going to be the fifth one but due to the exceptional situation generated by SARS-CoV-2, the face-to-face activities were decided to be postposed and 10alamenos9 festival has turned into an online festival. During the confinement period, PhD J. Díaz as responsible of the educational activities of the CCiTUB has coordinated and launched the project "Vermut de nanociència: comunicant les nanociències des de YouTube" with the main objective of bringing nanotechnologies to everybody in an understanding way and broadcasting it in streaming to make easier the participation and the debate. The talks started on 22nd of March and ended last Friday, 12nd of June. The 15 institutions that have participated giving their support to the educational labor organized by the University of Barcelona, have facilitate the edition of a total of 33 videos.
