For a few days now, the Nanoinventum project of the CCiTUB can be found on the Precipita. Precipita is a sponsorship program carried out by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) with the aim of being a nexus between researchers and people interested in science.
Our objective: To obtain work luggage for primary schools that want to carry out experiments in the classroom related to nanotechnology.
Currently, from the CESIRE (collaborator of Nanoinventum) the loan of nine briefcases is facilitated. The goal is to be able to acquire new ones, so that more schools can benefit from Nanoinventum.
Today we ask your help. With a small contribution, we can arouse the interest of the new generations for science and technology, improving the abilities and the probabilities of academic and professional success, and encouraging participation, innovation and creativity.
Since 2017, the Scientific and Technological Centers have carried out the Nanoinventum project, which seeks to be a tool to promote scientific vocations among elementary students. It is a joint scientific co-creation project from a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) transversal knowledge focus in order to incorporate the learning of nanotechnology into the studies of primary in an interdisciplinary way.
The objective is to turn the scientific learning into a game so that the students feel science like something next and funny, fomenting the scientific vocations from early ages and thus ensuring that the children do not lose the creative spirit.
In order to achieve our objectives, Nanoinventum distributes a scientific briefcase and some learning cards with different activities among the schools. Primary school teachers perform experiments with children and they have to create a model of a nanorobot based on the knowledge they have acquired. From the CCiTUB it is realized, once a year, a session of presentation of the projects where the students can expose their nanorobots and explain their operation.
In 2019, the project has reached Mexico. From September 27 to 29, in the city of Zacatecas, Mexican children have been able to shape their robots thanks to the Suma Ciencia project.
On the other hand, last May in CosmoCaixa, the project received the Guttemberg Award from the UPF 'Barcelona School of Management' in the category of 'Great successes and its keys', thus strengthening NanoInventum's position among the projects of Success oriented elementary students.
By very little, you can be part of a scientific project and promote an investigation.
