The Metropolitan Entity of Barcelona has approved the Corporate Mobility Plan (PDE) for the 2025–2028 period, jointly submitted by five organizations located within the facilities of the Barcelona Science Park, including CCiTUB.
Collaboration among CCiTUB, PCB, IBEC, IRB Barcelona, and Biocat has enabled the definition of concrete measures to facilitate access to the PCB facilities and to promote more efficient and environmentally friendly mobility.
Throughout the six-year duration of the plan, ambitious goals have been set, such as reducing private vehicle use by 10%, increasing the use of public transport and active modes (walking and cycling) both for commuting and during the working day, and reducing overall CO₂ emissions by 15%.
To achieve these objectives, the plan includes specific actions. Among them are promoting organizational tools to minimize travel, establishing protocols for attending conferences and events using sustainable modes, improving indoor bicycle parking facilities, and enhancing information and training on sustainable mobility.
The active participation of the involved centers will foster responsible mobility, contributing to the transformation of the metropolitan model.
