● Description
During this seminar, the fundamentals of volumetric fissorption to vacuum will be explained, a technique used to measure the surface and size of the pores.
It will discuss how to prepare the samples correctly and compare the benefits of using different gases for analysis, such as nitrogen, krypton, argon and carbon dioxide.
The mathematical models used to calculate pore size will be addressed, focusing on the Functional Theory of Density and comparing it with traditional models.
We will also talk about how to study catalytically active surfaces by chemisorption of reactive gases.
