● Description
Molecular and non-invasive imaging techniques are advancing rapidly in fields like preclinical cancer drug discovery and the study of infectious and metabolic diseases.
Techniques such as Micro-CT, ultrasound, and optical methods like bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging are at the forefront of these innovations.
These imaging modalities offer significant advantages over traditional screening methods, particularly in their ability to non-invasively and quantitatively monitor pharmacodynamic changes at the cellular and molecular levels in real-time in living animals.
This workshop will provide an overview of these non-invasive molecular imaging techniques, focusing on their strengths, limitations, and versatility in preclinical cancer drug discovery and development.
