Cocrystals of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) represent a class of multi-component crystalline forms (which incorporates in its network an API and a coformer) that are of interest for their advantageous physical properties, for intellectual property implications and because they significantly diversify the number of crystal forms that exist for APIs. In this seminar, a brief review of these crystalline forms together with a novel methodology of virtual cocrystal prediction will be shown.
