Nano Image Contest "L'invisible nanomón"

During January 2016, the CCiTUB will organize "L'invisible nanomón", a contest of "nano" images with the objective of bringing to society the wonderful and amazing world of nanoscience.

The contest is open to everyone who has taken photographs with SPM equipment (AFM, STM ...), electron microscopy (TEM, SEM) and advanced optical microscopy (confocal or interferometry) applied to materials. It is required that analyzed materials have a nanoscale dimension (between 1 nm and 100 nm) and have not been published or participated in other competitions.

Among all received images, a specialized jury will select a maximum of 5, which will be part of the exhibition “L'invisible nanomón” in the Festival de la Nanociència 10alamenos9 that will be held in different Spanish cities between 4 and 8 April 2016.

Furthermore, the two best pictures will receive a prize consisting of consumables valued at 500 € and 250 € respectively, courtesy of the company Bruker NanoSurfaces. These consumables have to be used in the SPM nano-techniques (AFM, STM) interferometry-confocal Unit of the CCiTUB within one year.

The contest will be published in the next month of January 2016.

Come to the nanoworld and participate!
