Luminex MAGPIX analyzer

The Cytometry technology of the Scientific and Technological Center offers to the researchers a Magpix instrument with Luminex technology. The availability of this equipment is consequence of the agreement between the CCiTUB and Labclinics.

This instrument is designed for the simultaneous detection of different secreted proteins in a sample (like cytokines, chemoquines, growth factors ...). Luminex technology (multiplexed analysis) allows the measurement of up to 50 analytes per well.

The Procartaplex Multiplex Immunoassay kits used with this instrument are available in multiple formats across six species (Human, mouse, rat, non-human primates, dog and pig. The main trends are:

Quantitative (up to 50 analytes simultaneously detected).
Low sample amount (25-50 microl).
Less than an hour per 96 well plate.
