A new location for BET
The Scientific and Technological Centers of the UB reunified in an unique laboratory the two particle characterization techniques, in two different locations until now:
  • Granulometry.
  • Specific surface measures BET/ porosimetry
These two techniques allow providing physical characterization of particles size distribution by light scattering and surface area and density measurement.

These techniques are used in the pharmaceutical, metallurgical and cosmetic industry, as well as soil science and in the food sector. Combined with other CCiTUB techniques, as optical and electronic microscopy and scanning transmission, represent a powerful tool for physical characterization of particulated materials.

The new laboratory particle is located on the CCiTUB Granulometry Technology placed in the ‘Parc Científic’ of the CCiTUB. Anyone interested in access can contact technical managers by email granulometria@ccit.ub.edu or by telephone at the number 934 034 654.
