The Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona (CCiTUB) have joined the European project canSERV an initiative funded by the Horizon Europe program that aims to accelerate cancer research through coordinated access to high-level scientific services.
The canSERV consortium, led by BBMRI-ERIC, brings together 18 partners, including major European life sciences infrastructures such as Euro-BioImaging which co-leads the work package dedicated to biological and biomedical imaging technologies.
Within this framework, the University of Barcelona participates through CCiTUB as the coordinating entity of the Spanish node of Euro-BioImaging, Barcelona Live and Intravital-Advanced Light Microscopy (BLivIN) formed by the CRG and IRB Barcelona. CCiTUB offers cutting-edge technologies such as automated high-content screening microscopy, live-cell and in vivo imaging, which are essential for translational oncology research.
These services are now available to the international research community through canSERV, which offers free access to European scientific infrastructures for the development of cancer-related projects. The current call for service applications is open until July 15.
CCiTUB’s participation in canSERV strengthens its position as a reference in the European biomedical research landscape and opens new opportunities for international collaboration, access to competitive funding, and knowledge transfer. This involvement consolidates the University of Barcelona’s commitment to innovation and the improvement of global health.
