Els CCiTUB will participate in Escolab 2024 with the following activities proposed by the Center. These are the Institutes that were able to register and will be visiting us in the coming months:
Analitzant cèl·lules: "The Units of Cytometry and Advanced Optical Microscopy of the Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona propose a 3-hour visit to the facilities located at the Medicine and Health Sciences - Bellvitge Campus of the UB. During the visit, we will discover how we can see, quantify, and classify the cells of a clinical sample or research biomedical samples. We will understand the operation of the equipment involved that helps us analyze our samples, including cytometers and advanced optical microscopes." [+]

De Biomacro a biomicro: "The Units of Animal Experimentation, Advanced Optical Microscopy, Electron Microscopy, Proteomics, and the Technical Unit of Radiological Protection propose a 4-hour visit to the facilities located at the Medicina-Clinic Campus of the UB. During the visit, we will observe the structures of life, from large structures such as living beings to the smallest, such as proteins. We will see organs, tissues, and cells with microscopy and analyze the structures of their components and proteins within them. We will also see how to study the basic components of chemical reactions and how we can learn from them to find markers in human diseases, such as cancer, infertility, diabetes..." [+]

La vida a través del microscopi: "The Units of Advanced Optical Microscopy and Electron Microscopy of the Medicine-Clinic Campus propose a joint two-hour visit to the facilities of our laboratories, taking a journey between Science and Technology inside cells and tissues. From how the phenomenon of fluorescence is used to mark and visualize cellular structures and see phenomena such as mitosis live, to observing not with light but with electrons, the interior of a cell and its organelles." Una passejada pels laboratoris d’anàlisi química: "Some of the Units of the Chemistry Area of the Scientific and Technological Centers of the University of Barcelona (NMR, Infrared Spectroscopy, Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry, and Raman Spectroscopy) propose a guided 3-hour visit to the facilities located at the Diagonal Sud Campus of the University of Barcelona. The visit is designed to create a small interaction between scientific/technological education and the University. The activity shows the daily operation of different chemical laboratories that serve the scientific community and also companies, through explanations of the available instrumental techniques and demonstrations applied to different types of samples."
