The CCiTUB collaborate with a school through an innovation and social return project

On June 20th at 12h, in the Núria Cortadellas classroom of the CCiTUB building and also by streaming, will be the presentation of the program "Magnet, alliances for educational success", by its coordinators, Ms. Roser Argemí, from the Jaume Bofill Foundation and Mr. Xavi Geis, from the Departament d'Educació. The presentation will aim to publicize the program and invite those who are interested to participate.

The CCiTUB, continuing with their commitment to social return, will participate with a new project in the next edition of the Magnet program. The program promotes the alliance of an educational center with an institution of excellence in a specific field of knowledge. With the mediation of the Education Department, the CCiTUB will become the reference center of the Madorell school in Molins de Rei and, in collaboration with the school's teachers, an innovative educational project will be designed, tailored to their students.

"Magnet, alliances for educational success"

The Magnet program, aims to combat school segregation through the development of an alliance and innovation project, and thus regain the ability of participating schools to attract families from their environment and increase the heterogeneity of its social composition.

The program has been carried out for five years in five schools, in a first pilot phase, and has shown that it is a powerful strategy to strengthen the project of the school, change its social perception, attract families around it and increase school pre-enrollment.

The participating institutions are references in a specific field of knowledge (science, technology, art, audiovisual communication, ...) and have an educational commitment to society and a great ability to transfer innovation and knowledge. The schools selected in this year's call will develop this innovation project over the next 4 years.
