29.03.2020The CCiTUB define their goals and the direction of their efforts
Due to the exceptional situation in which we are actually in, all the efforts of the Scientific and Technological Centers are oriented, on the one hand, to guarantee the safety of all its users and workers and on the other, to ensure the operation and security of the apparatus , animals and facilities.
To that end, we remind you that we have critical services to ensure that ongoing investigations can continue when this confinement expires, and our technicians and administrators are working from home to help CCiTUB and University of Barcelona do not stop.
The CCiTUB make our equipments and facilities available to public and private institutions and research groups that have the purpose of researching on COVID-19 or the development of timely or immediate application systems, as well as we are collaborating with different health centers in the country to provide material support.
From the CCiTUB we have provided the Hospital Clínic with 45100 gloves, 7600 surgical masks, 28 sterile gowns, 50 single use gowns and 1500 plastic booties. We have also provided the Hospital de Bellvitge with four assisted breathing machines.
