Information

In this workshop, we will be able to discover the Spinning disk confocal microscopy technology and its applications through the new Dragonfly spinning disk confocal system from Andor.

In the spinning disk confocal microscope, the laser light and this light emitted by the sample pass through a rotating disk with a pattern of pinholes allowing optical sections. Thanks to a simultaneous scanning through the multipoint beam, acquisition can be performed with fast and highly sensitive cameras.

• Minimal phototoxicity and photobleaching - ideal for live or delicate specimens.
• High speeds for imaging fast dynamic events, or high throughput.
• Large uniform field of view for larger specimens or montage stitching

Groups

There will be a lecture and practical demonstrations of the equipment Dragonfly- Andor. The number of conference participants is limited to 30 people due to space limitations. The demonstrations are organized in groups of 5 participants and are open to participants to bring their samples (fixed samples or living cells)
