Today is women's day. The event has already more than a hundred years of existence, more than a hundred years claiming equal rights. Today is a day of collective vindication where the women of the CCiTUB and the University of Barcelona are important players of a fight to continue advancing in the labor and social equality, to make the University of Barcelona an example in education, because the Education is the basis of equality. The CCiTUB under the slogan: 'Equal training, equal power of decision' wants to encourage everyone to participate in this day that is not only the day of women but of the entire university community. The Scientific and Technological Centers have 70 women on their staff. Chemists, biologists, administrators, computer scientists, lawyers, physicians, doctors, engineers, graduates, technicians and highly qualified administrative staff that today face their most participative women's day. A slow battle but with firm step. To all of you, administrative, technical, cleaning staff, custodians, security staff, teachers, we wish you a participative women's day. |
